Welcome to day 3 of The Ton’s third release. Today, we are showing cards featuring Pyrotechnics. Check out their blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice! Stop by other Design Team members Jessica and Mayline’s blogs for details on their cards! 🙂
When I saw this set for the first time, I thought of fireworks over skylines and how they reflect in the water. I tried to do some watercoloring and heat embossing… and I think this is fine for a first-timer. I will keep trying until I get it to look more like those skyline photos! Lol.
I used some distress inks to watercolor the sky, water, and buildings. I waited for it to completely dry before I stamped the firework combinations in VersaMark and heat embossed in various colors. The reflection parts were a little messy and handdrawn with a VersaMarker and heat embossed with matching colors. I wonder if I should have used lighter colors? The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I added a flag banner cut and added it to the piece with foam tape. The whole piece was then taped onto black cardstock and then white cardstock outlines.
Come back every day this week and leave a comment on The Ton’s blog posts for your chance to win a stamp set from the new release! Thanks for visiting! ♥ ♥ ♥
