You Are Fabulous

Hello dear friends 🙂 It has been a few weeks since I started working full-time, trying to adjust to a different routine and establish new habits. I’m glad to say that I still find joy in crafting. In fact, I actually have more fun now knowing that when I have free time, I can create something.

A few people have been calling me a machine…and although I know they mean well, I am not a machine. 🙂 Each of us has different skill sets. I just happen to do well with producing parts of cards and sometimes whole cards in a short period of time. Actually, I have so many die-cuts and random embossed, colored, or stamped pieces that are sitting unused. Ideas come as quickly as they go. Inspiration hits and I start creating, but over time I’ll forget where I was going with it so the piece just gets placed in a scrap box.

For today’s post, I am showing off a background stamp I received recently: My Favorite Thing’s Roses All Over. I made a few cards, but I’ll share two today 🙂

For the first one, I stamped Roses All Over with VersaMark onto watercolor cardstock and heat set with white embossing powder. I used a blending tool and Rosy Quartz Couture Color to blend the soft color over the background.

I die-cut using My Favorite Thing dies and arranged over my card base. I die-cut the word “Fabulous” using gold glitter cardstock and the “you are” was stamped and heat set with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I glued them down with glossy accents and finished the card off with some gold sequins.

For my second card, I stamped and heat set in the same manner but this time I watercolored with my Winsor & Newton watercolor paints. Once it was dry, I die-cut with a stitched die and mounted to my cardbase with foam tape. I added the sentiment from WPlus9’s latest release and added some clear sequins. 🙂
