Hi friends! I’m happy to share four cards with you today, using the adorable Love Cynthia set called You and Me. The children and the sentiments in the set are the cutest! As usual, I had stamped so many of these images and colored them in advance, which makes it easy for me to create multiple cards as I did here. They were all cut with my Brother ScanNCut 2 (one of my favorite tools!). The Mission Gold watercolors that are on sale on Amazon for $68 are becoming a favorite. I already have a few favorite colors from this 36-color set (which, btw, comes with a palette!). One of the first things I did was create these backgrounds with watercolor stripes. Then I die-cut them with my favorite scallop die from Winnie & Walter’s Essentials: Audrey Cutaways.
CARD #1: It’s been a while since I created shaker cards so here I use Little Things From Lucy’s Cards sequin sets. For this first card, I die-cut a frame in the center and left the outer frame for the card. I added the clear film behind the frames with my ATG gun adhesive and then added strips of foam tape all over. I glued the images on my cardbase and then added the sequin mix before matting down the front panel. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark on black cardstock and heat set with embossing powder. I used my Fiskars trimmer to trim it down to a label shape and matted it down on the front.
CARD #2: For this card, I used one of the watercolor panels and die-cut with same scallop die. For the shaker portion, I used The Ton’s double-stitched large circle dies that leave behind a nice stitched outline. I left the kids in front of the acetate film and added a few of the Leafy Greenery cuts 🙂 The Opal Whisper sequin mix is so dreamy and soft. Perfect with the pale green watercolor lines.
CARD #3: For this card, I die-cut a circle frame from gold glitter cardstock and a scalloped circle from white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Noir dye ink and added the couple below it. I arranged all the pieces over the pink watercolor striped background.
CARD #4: For the last card, I created a scene, and I just love how it turned out! I was playing with my new Winsor & Newton brushes so I wanted to know what kind of effects they created. The Fan Size 2 brush is perfect for grassy look as you can see in this card. I also love how the sky turned out with the Mission Gold watercolors. Just the perfect blue and white spots. These cloud dies from Mama Elephant’s Rainbow High die set are adorable because of the tiny heart detail. Honestly, this was SO easy to create, which is exciting because scenic cards are the hardest for me. 🙂 The sentiment is from Choose Joy.
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
