Each day this week, the Whimsy Stamps design team and special guests will be sharing the new products. All products are now available for purchase from the Whimsy Stamps Shop. Be sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps blog each morning to see a peek at the creations with links to the designers blogs. We will have chances to win prizes all week long as well! We hope you will join in every day this week for all the new release festivities!

Today’s release features Hand Lettered Thoughts. Here’s a look at my cards:

Yes, yes, I know! I made a lot! I love the combination of sentiments from this stamp set so I wanted to show how you can create card sets or quick cards to send to friends. It’s definitely been a while since I sent out happy mail. It makes me happy to know I can finally send them some cards 🙂

When I mass-produce, I do things in steps. The first thing I did was take watercolor panels and add color with distress inks using the blending tool and foam. I only colored about half the panel. Then I used my Clear Snap Color Catcher to spray white, gold and shimmer sprays on each panel (I didn’t use all 3 on all panels). I set it aside to dry overnight. The white pigment is still reactive and doesn’t dry completely so there were some smudges. Can you imagine how messy my desk got while working on all these cards?

I love polka dots and stripes. I rarely buy paper pads now and I had this Dots & Stripes Neutral from MFT Stamps that I used with these panels. I didn’t want to create the same exact look so I stamped the sentiment in black for most, but also heat set with white and gold embossing for two of them. My MISTI helped a lot to make sure I got really crisp look because of the white pigment in the background.

If you have questions about any particular style, just ask in the comments, but for now, I’ll just share a few of my favorite ones. 🙂 All products are linked below!
