Hello! Welcome to the second day of the April Release by Whimsy Stamps’ artist/illustrator Nina-Marie Trapani! I’m super excited to be a part of this month’s release 🙂
Each day this week, the Whimsy Stamps design team and special guests will be sharing the new products and then on Wednesday, April 13, customers will be able to purchase them from the Whimsy Stamps Shop. Be sure to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps blog each morning to see a peek at the creations with links to the designers blogs. We will have chances to win prizes all week long as well! We hope you will join in every day this week for all the new release festivities!
Today’s release features Mom’s Layered Flowers. Here’s a look at my card:
I started with a 4.25″ x 5.5″ watercolor panel. I stamped the flower image all over with VersaMark and heat set with white embossing powder. I colored with my Mission Gold watercolors and let it dry. I fussy cut in the center so I could have my sentiment peek through. This card was not planned….I kind of just went with the flow. I took a piece of black cardstock so that I could stamp the sentiment with VersaMark and heat set with white embossing powder. I added foam tape behind my watercolor panel and matted it over the black cardstock, which I matted down over my white card base. 🙂 On a separate watercolor paper, I stamped some flowers and leaves with VersaMark and heat set with white embossing powder. I colored with watercolors and fussy cut. Then I arranged them below the sentiment. To finish it off, I added some clear sequins.
