Neat and Tangled May Release: Day Four

Hello and welcome to Day Four of the Neat & Tangled May Release! All new products will be available tomorrow, May 20th at 8 am EST. Be sure to stop by the Neat & Tangled blog everyday this week for lots of fun, inspiration, and GIVEAWAYS!

Up on the Neat & Tangled blog today are Stitched Starburst and Journaling Alpha dies.

Here are two basic cards using the Journaling Alpha dies:

For the first card, I die-cut a panel using a scallop frame die and then blended some pink and red colors for an ombre look. I die-cut the word ‘HELLO’ using the Journaling Alpha dies. I placed a sheet of gold glitter cardstock behind it and then glued the whole panel to a white card base. I finished it off with some of the new Pretty Pretty Pink sequins 🙂

For the second card, I used the Hexastar Stencil and blended some blues on a panel that was trimmed to 4″ x 5.5″. I die-cut the words “HAVE FAITH” out of gold glitter cardstock and glued them over the panel with multi medium matte. I added a strip of gold glitter cardstock to the side and added some sequins from the Royally Blue mix.

I love these cards – simple but so pretty! The pink one is my favorite (I’m a sucker for pink, and the addition of gold glitter is perfect).

Two great cards. Love how you used both positive and negative die cuts from this new letter set. I especially like the effect of the negative die cut in your ‘HELLO’ card, surrounded by all that luscious red and pink background. Very nice!
