Now let’s get on with the Stampede with our amazing designers!
Now for my cards. I ended up making a set of them focusing on Hello Friend Wishes. I used different mediums to create three backgrounds after heat embossing the script ‘hello friend’ with VersaMark, MISTI, heat gun, and white embossing powder.
For the first card, I used distress inks and blended with foam with Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Worn Lipstick. I splattered some water and used a napkin to pat it down for it to pick up color. I stamped the sentiment ‘may today be filled with smiles’ from Hello Friend Wishes with VersaMark onto black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die-cut the banner from Venice Envelope Creative Cuts. I matted down the colored panel over an A2 white cardbase, added the banner with foam tape and finished it off with some Pretty Pink Posh droplets.
For the second card, I watercolored a rainbow using distress inks. I’ve been using the following combo a lot this week: Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves, and Picked Raspberry. I stamped and embossed the sentiment with my MISTI in the same manner as the last card. To finish it off, I die-cut the panel with the frame die from Madison Avenue Framed Tags Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Black Onyx ink before I glued it to my A2 white card base.
My last card is a slider card – my very first one! After embossing the sentiment, I added some watercolor strokes from Gansai Tambi watercolor set. I die-cut the panel with the scallop frame from Blueprints 27 Die-namics and then the slider die near the bottom center. I stamped an image from Rowdy Raccoons and colored with Mission Gold watercolors. I fussy cut and attached some foam tape and a small plain cardstock piece in the background. I used the panel to see where I would stamp the sentiment onto the card base. Once I assembled everything together and placed the panel down over the cardbase, I have the raccoon slide back and forth over the sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed my cards!!
I appreciate Angela and Kryssi for having me as a guest!
