Concord & 9th Guest Designer| You Bring Me Joy

Good morning! I am here today with my first post as guest designer for Concord & 9th! I was very excited when they invited me (on my birthday of all days!) to create a few projects using the July release. Of course, I had to say yes because I am a big fan of their unique products. I’d love for you to stop by their blog and shop to check out what they have to offer.

Today, I have two projects for you using the Joy Bundle. I wanted to create cards that reflected my usual style so one is black and gold while the other consists of bright watercolors.

These were very simple and fun to create. 🙂 For the first one, I die-cut the word ‘JOY’ using the die from black cardstock. I die-cut the sheet using a frame die as well. I glued a sheet of gold glitter cardstock behind the negative space. I used the lined stamp from Joy and stamped it on the bottom of the panel with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. On a separate sheet of black cardstock, I stamped ‘you bring me’ with VersaMark and heat embossed with same embossing powder. I trimmed it down and added it over ‘joy’ with foam tape. I glued the entire panel to my white cardbase.

For the second card, I did something similar except I used white watercolor cardstock for the front and base. I wanted to add splatters (love doing this) and just watercolor strokes in bright colors. I used my favorite Mission Gold watercolors. I stamped ‘to the world’ on black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder and added it over ‘joy’ with foam tape.

As you can see, they did not require intensive work. Thanks for letting me share my work with you today, and I can’t wait to share more next Wednesday!

Thank you for visiting! ♡
