Newton’s Nook | Deck the Halls with Inky Paws

Hi, friends! I’m happy to share that this week I’ll be part of a wonderful feature by Newton’s Nook Designs! For today, I share a watercolor card on their blog so be sure to stop by and leave them (and me) some love 🙂

Now for my card 🙂 I created a basic scene using Whispering Pines and distress inks. I used various green distress inks to stamp the trees and even used second and third generation stamping (when you just keep stamping without reinking the stamp). This gives the illusion of a larger forest. The Whispering Pines set is perfect for this look as the trees already have a watercolored texture to them. To finish the card off, I stamped the silhouette of the dog and the sentiment in black waterproof ink and some splatters from my Mission Gold watercolors.

Hope you enjoyed my card! Thanks so much for inviting me, Jennifer! 🙂
