Hello, friends! I am so excited to be a guest designer on the Spellbinders March 14th Blog Hop today! You should have arrived from Laurie Willison’s blog! Today, we are celebrating and featuring the Classic Spellbinders, Joanne Fink, Stephanie Low, and Tammy Tutterow collections.
This is the On the Wings of Love Collection by Joanne Fink.
My projects will focus on the fabulous On the Wings of Love collection by Joanne Fink and Good Vibes Only collection by Stephanie Low. Products will be linked at the end of the blog for your convenience.
For the first card, I wanted to keep it very simple! I die-cut just the sentiment from Good Vibes Only from gold glitter cardstock and white foam. For my card base, I used a watercolor striped pattern paper, which I trimmed down to A2 size and glued to the base. Then I glued down the stacked sentiment…AND THAT IS ALL. I love how it turned out. I die-cut so many more of these so I could create a batch of cards to send off to friends. The sentiment alone is fabulous.
For the second card, I went with my signature style: lots of loose, bold watercoloring with some splatters!
I die-cut both dies from Flowers Whispers from watercolor cardstock and the outline from black foam as well. I watercolored with my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors and then glued the stacks together. The sentiment was stamped on black cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat-embossed in white, which I mounted over the flower. For the card base, I added black splatters and once it dried, I glued down the flower and sentiment over it.
For my last card, I did similar watercoloring but went with a different layout. I die-cut the flower from Swirl Frame four times from watercolor cardstock. I watercolored them with the same watercolors. For the base, I blended Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and then added white and gold paint splatters. I trimmed down black cardstock and arranged it in a frame as shown below and mounted it with foam tape. I added in the flowers with foam tape. For the sentiment, I stamped with VersaMark ink on white cardstock and heat-embossed in gold. I mounted it above the flowers.
I hope you were inspired! I’d love for you to subscribe to my blog and follow me on social media (see right bar). Your next stop on the hop is the wonderful Virginia Lu!
