Studio Katia | March Release Blog Hop (+ Giveaway)

Hello, friends! Thank you for stopping by today! I’m excited to be a guest for the Studio Katia March Release Blog Hop – Day 2! You should have arrived from the Studio Katia Blog featuring the sweetest Rowena! The new release includes 9 new Clear Stamp Sets and 5 sets of Coordinating Dies, 4 new stand-alone Creative Dies, 2 new Stencils and 12 new Embellishments! So many awesome goodies!

Here’s the entire release available at Studio Katia Shop, Simon Says Stamp, and now Ellen Hutson!

I had so much fun with the new release – I created three projects for you today. I had many more in the works but didn’t get to finish them in time. I’ll be sure to share those later with you.

First, I stamped Best Friends with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. This set is SOOO adorable! I’m usually nervous about coloring so many critters since I couldn’t color them all the same ha! I colored them with Copic markers in random shades (with the help of my Hex Chart) and added finishing details with white gel pen. I stamped a brick wall on my white card base, fussy cut the image out and mounted it over with foam tape. I colored in gray shadows below the critters. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed in white on black cardstock. I trimmed it down and mounted it with foam tape.

My next two cards feature the beautiful Japanese Peony set and coordinating dies. I played with different mediums and came out with two different looks! For the first card, I stamped it with Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored with coral and green Copic marker shades. I added in details with a white gel pen and Polychromos pencils. For the card base, I added strips of gold glitter cardstock, and the sentiment was stamped with Versamark on black cardstock, heat embossed in gold, trimmed down and mounted with foam tape. Then I die-cut the image and mounted it over my card base with foam tape as well. I finished it off with some Onyx Crystals.

For my last card, I stamped the image onto watercolor cardstock with Archival Jet Black ink (waterproof) and watercolored it with my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors. Once it dried, I added in details with Polychromos pencils and blended with a blending pencil. I die-cut the sentiment banner from Dotted Patterns: Scallop Square and stamped the sentiment on it with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. For the card base, I added black and gold paint splatters before die-cutting the image and mounting it over the base, along with the sentiment.

I hope you were inspired by my work. If so, please do subscribe to my blog and follow me on social media for more inspiration! The next stop on the blog is my dear talented friend Svitlana!
