Shimmerz Paints | Every Day is a Fresh Start | Adding Depth with Copic Markers

Hello, friends! I know all of us wish we had more time for all the craft products we collect over the years. In today’s post, I’ll be using a set I’ve had sitting in my to-use bin for months. I was previously on the Shimmerz Paints Design Team and around the time I left, they were releasing new stamps. Shimmerz Paints’ Owner Stacey is one of the nicest people I know! She has a compassionate heart and her dream of designing/selling stamps has become a reality for her. I am happy to support her. Read below for details on my project.

I created a simple card using Fresh Start. It’s such a beautiful set – you can stamp the layers or you can color the outline image. I chose to color because it’s fun!

I stamped the image with black dye ink and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut the images (it’s relaxing to do while watching TV or listening to music).

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Tattered Rose onto watercolor cardstock and then slowly ripped off from all four sides to create the ripped edges. I stamped the sentiment with black dye ink and then I mounted all the pieces together.

I will use a few more sets from Shimmerz Paints and share the projects here when I get a chance. In the meantime, please check out the rest of their stamps.
