Altenew | August 2018 Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop (+ Giveaway)

Hello, friends! Today is Altenew’s August 2018 Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop! Hop along for fabulous inspiration and fun! You should have arrived from the Altenew blog. If you lose your way, you can start at the Altenew Card Blog or the Altenew Scrapbook Blog.

Check out the entire new release! I’d love to know what you’ve got your eyes on!

I have a few cards to share with you.

This release has some AMAZING floral sets. I made two cards and two watercolored art pieces. I will share my cards first. I used Inked Flora and did light watercoloring and arranged them over a long card.

For the second card, I did a bit of masking with Hello Gorgeous and Geo Frames. I colored with Copic markers.

Next, I masked and stamped Hello Gorgeous on 100% cotton watercolor sheet. I watercolored with Altenew watercolors and went a little splatter-happy…

For my last piece, I used Floral Art on 100% cotton watercolor sheet. I did a mix of Altenew watercolors that are a little different from what I usually do…but I think it’s fun to try new things. Your brain tends to continue doing what you’re used to doing so this helps to stretch your muscles. Even if you don’t like how something ends up, be happy for trying. You’ll learn something for sure! For next time, I’ll probably pick the colors in advance and then color. 🙂

I hope you felt inspired today! The next stop on the hop is Anna Komenda!
