Spellbinders | August 15th Blog Hop – Inked Messages
Hello, friends! I am so excited to be a guest on the Spellbinders August 15th Blog Hop today! I am sharing a card with no-line watercoloring techniques using gorgeous floral images from the Inked Messages Collection by Stephanie Low.
You should have arrived from Heather’s blog! Today, we are celebrating and featuring the following collections: Inked Messages by Stephanie Low and Special Moments by Marisa Job.
I have a project for you that uses products from Inked Messages by Stephanie Low.
I used my Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors and da Vinci Cosmotop Spin Brushes (Round 2 and 3/0) for detail watercoloring on the images from Rough Waters, Wanderlust, and Grow Newer With Me. Once I finished coloring, I die-cut the images from Rough Waters, Wanderlust, and Grow Newer With Me with coordinating dies.
For the background, I masked off the sides of my card base and blended distress oxide ink. I stamped the sentiment from Wanderlust with Versafine black ink. I mounted the images over the base with foam tape for dimension.
You too can achieve this look! Watercoloring requires patience and good tools. Always start light and add depth over time with layers. I hope this inspires you to try!
Your next stop on the hop is the wonderful Amy Kolling!
Here’s the complete blog hop list so you don’t get lost 🙂
