Elegant Cards with Altenew September 2018 Washi Tape Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, friends! Today I am part of the Altenew September 2018 Washi Tape Release Blog Hop. I am sharing two cards using GORGEOUS washi tape (seriously, swoon-worthy)! See how I paired them with fun stamps and dies for elegant looks.

You should have arrived from the sweet and talented Nicole Picadura’s blog, and if you lose your place, you can start at the Altenew Blog.

Check out the new release here!

Affiliate links may be used in this post. You can find the lists of my favorite supplies here.

For the first card, I adhered Washi Tape Glitter Flurries directly onto cardstock and then ran it through the die-cut machine with Dotted Scales Debossing Cover Die (my favorite). I feel this adds the perfect elegant touch.

I die-cut Hang in There die in gold + white cardstock, glued them together and then mounted them over the base with foam tape to coordinate with the washi colors. So simple yet beautiful!

For the second card, I used Washi Tape Gilded Ombre and then added a strip of Washi Tape Golden Edge to a white card base. I trimmed off the excess on the edges.

I heat-embossed images from A Beautiful Day in gold and watercolored them in similar colors to finish the look. I mounted them over the washi base with foam tape. No sentiment needed. Just write inside the card 🙂

Next on the hop is the amazing Amy Tangerine!

I’m so impressed with how you got your purple flowers to be in the same tones as the ombre washi, but still had them stand out from the background. Your watercoloring is always so amazing. Thank you for sharing these beautiful cards with us!

Rubeena, I’ve only been a subscriber to your blog for a short time, but every thing you post is exquisite. These cards are no exception. I love this new washi release, and your cards are wonderful examples of the creative uses for it.

So elegant! I like the effect of the debossing on the patterned washi – just the right amount of texture without detracting from the pattern.
