No-Line Watercoloring for the Altenew Build-a-Flower Anemone Coronaria Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello, friends! I am so very excited to join the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Anemone Coronaria Release Blog Hop today! I am sharing a card that features some no-line watercoloring and masking. If you lose your place while hopping the blogs, you can go to the Altenew Card Blog for the complete hop list. You should have arrived from the fabulous Leigh Houston!
For today’s card, I used the outline images from Altenew’s Build-a-Flower Anemone Coronaria instead of using the layered images in the set. I like the fact that both options are available to me. I started by stamping the images with a very light gray ink on cold-pressed watercolor paper. I also stamped the images on post-it tape and used the masking technique to create a cluster of anemone flowers and leaves.
I used the Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set to color the images. For the center, I used a black pen and white gel pen for details. I fussy cut the floral cluster and mounted it over black cardstock. I added a heat-embossed sentiment strip near the bottom.
I hope you were inspired by my work! Next on the stop is the lovely Zinia Redo.
Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to SIX lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win. Six winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on September 7th.
Altenew is sponsoring a personal $20 gift certificate to one lucky person from the comments left on this post. Someone will be randomly selected and announced on my blog by September 5th.
