Simon Says Stamp was kind enough to send me Tiny Words to use for this party. If you have been following me for some time, you know I LOVE WORDS. And I love to heat-emboss in white on black cardstock so that’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw this set. Because they are tiny words (ha ha), I actually taped down the entire set as is on my MISTI and embossed all the sentiments. I trimmed down each one and set aside the ones I wanted to use for my card. Plus I have plenty left over for other cards! Win win.

Using my MISTI, I stamped the large floral image from Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Flowers onto cold-pressed watercolor paper. I am SO excited that Simon Says Stamp released a second Beautiful Flowers set, which, of course, I already placed an order for!

I colored the Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Flowers with Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors.

I trimmed down a card base with black cardstock down to 4″ x 8.5″. I then trimmed down the watercolored piece to 3.75″ x 8.25″ so that I had a black frame around it. I mounted all the tiny sentiments from Simon Says Stamp’s Tiny Words with foam tape for dimension. I die-cut the word “friend” from Simon Says Stamp Big Friend wafer die from black cardstock. I glued it down and added a drop shadow with a gray Copic marker. Wouldn’t a friend just love receiving this card?!

What a wonderful way to send a little letter in the context of a gorgeous card. Love the way you put together some of the wonderrul small words and phrases to send such a loving message.
