Four Ways to Use the Altenew November 2018 Stamp & Die Release | Blog Hop + Giveaways

Hello, friends! I’m part of the Altenew November 2018 Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop today! I created four cards for you using different products from the release. I used various techniques to inspire you: bold watercoloring, intricate die-cutting, layer stamping with ink pads, and coloring with alcohol ink markers. You can find all the details for new products and giveaways below.

You should have arrived from Kathleen Graumüller’s blog and the next stop on the hop is the fabulous Erum Tasneem! If you lose your place or need more information, you can begin on the Altenew Card Blog.

Bold Watercoloring — for this card, I stamped the images from Inked Rose on watercolor paper using black waterproof ink. I watercolored them with the 36 Pan Watercolor Set. I stamped Dainty Swiss Dots in the background using Morning Frost and Lava Rock. I only did partial stamping on a long base (4.25″ x 8.5″). I mounted the images with foam tape and then stamped the sentiment in Lava Rock.

Intricate Die-cutting — for this card, I die-cut white sheet with Antique Engravings Cover Die. You know I love my cover dies so I was thrilled when this was released. I kept my card very simple so I could show off how GORGEOUS this die is. I cut off the frame and only kept the floral piece. I watercolored the background with the Altenew watercolors and added gold paint splatters. I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black.

Layer Stamping — for this card, I used the suggested ink pad colors that comes in the stamp insert. This makes it easier if you don’t want to figure out what color palette to use. I stamped the floral outline from Handpicked Bouquet using Jet Black and then stamped all the layers. I die-cut it with the coordinating die. For the background, I did partial stamping with the large stamp from Rustic Linen in Silver Stone. I mounted the bouquet over it with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black.

Coloring with Alcohol Ink Markers — for this card, I stamped the images in Lava Rock and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I don’t mind coloring after I die-cut. I used the Altenew Artist Markers to color the images. For the background, I ink blended with Sunkissed and Feeling Dotty Stencil. I did an ombre look by blending over and over on the bottom to create darker shades. I stamped the sentiment from Leaf Medallion on black cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat-embossed in white. I trimmed it down and mounted it on the card.
