Watercolor Holiday Scene for Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Cards Blog Hop Day Two + Giveaways
Hello, friends! I’m part of the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Cards Blog Hop Day Two today! I created a watercolored holiday home scene with a night sky. Have you started on your holiday cards yet? You can find all the details for a special shop promo and giveaways below.
You should have arrived from Natalia’s blog and the next stop on the hop is the Simon Says Stamp Blog. If you lose your place or need more information, you can begin on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog.
PROJECTS
Affiliate links may be used in this post. You can find the lists of my favorite supplies here.
My card was SO fun to make! I used both Home for the Holidays + A Day in the City, along with the coordinating die Cityscape. I started by die-cuttung a watercolor sheet with Cityscape and stamped the row of homes from Home for the Holidays. I stamped the homes from both sets on a separate sheet. I stamped a bunch of the trees as well.
I stamped the banner and sentiment on black cardstock and heat-embossed in white. I fussy cut it and set it aside.
I worked on the background first by stamping the snowflakes with clear embossing ink and heat-embossing in white. Then I used watercolors to create a night sky. I added white + gold paint splatters.
I colored the homes and trees with watercolors. I fussy cut everything and arranged the scene together. I mounted some homes in the back to create a street scene. I mounted everything on my card base with foam tape.
Finally, I finished it off by gluing some chunky glitter to mimic snow/ice. I hope you loved this scene as much as I do! All products are linked below.
