Altenew Build-a-Flower: Japanese Mum Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello, friends! I’m part of the Altenew Build-a-Flower: Japanese Mum Release Blog Hop today! I created a messy watercolor card for you. You can find all the details for new products and giveaways below.
You should have arrived from the talented Zinia Redo’s blog and the next stop on the hop is Patricia Roebuck’s blog. If you lose your place or need more information, you can begin on the Altenew Card Blog.
My card was so fun and easy for me. I enjoy a bit of messy watercoloring as I don’t have to worry so much about depth and shadows. I started off by stamping the florals and leaves with a black dye ink. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies that come in the Build-a-Flower set. I used Altenew watercolors to color them loosely and once dried, I finished off with some black and white paint splatters.
I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat-set with white embossing powder. How lovely is that sentiment! I trimmed it down and mounted the flowers and sentiment onto my top-folding A2 cardbase.
I hope that inspires you to get creative today!
